Fun night fishing the lights on the south shoreline of West Galveston Bay. Ended up with 4 reds and 5 trout. First time trying Vudu Shrimp lures, definitely more durable than DOA but the action wasn’t as good IMO. Maybe a little too heavy as both the 3.5” and 3.25” versions weigh 1/4oz.

Fun morning fishing the marsh in Port Lavaca. The winds laid down and I was able to sight cast a few reds. I saw my first and biggest of the day swimming right towards me with shrimp popping in front of it. My first cast was straight ass- nowhere close lol. On the 2nd, I missed the hookset and the lure came flying back at me. I was certain the fish would dart off, but was blessed with a 3rd chance and was able to land her. Marsh was absolutely filled with 1/2” size white shrimp and tiny silver baitfish.

Do any of yall have a headlamp that you recommend for night fishing? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Had a great day out in Port Lavaca today. Low tide made it easy to sight cast to the reds and you can tell they’ve been eating good back in the marsh. All caught on white soft plastics with a chartreuse tail in very shallow water.

Anybody have storage tips/advice on their wade gear? Just got a nice pair of waders (thanks to the guys at Anglers Anonymous) and want to keep them in good condition.
