Pretty cool catch when we were out on a recent tarpon trip. I saw something that looked like it was floating off the bow of the boat. I pointed it out to Cameron who had an elevated view from the perch and he said it was a small ling. I kept an eye on it while he grabbed the small spinning rod James carries on the boat in case we see a triple tail. Cameron casted and that ling went straight to the lure and smoked it. Not exactly a tarpon, but it was pretty cool. Didn’t measure it, but it was somewhere in the 28”-30” range I think

Nice weekend had a great day Saturday- the tide was up high but paddled back as far as I could get and found several reds tailing. Haven’t been able to kayak fish in a while but noticed that the shrimp popping around were a lot bigger in size. Got to enjoy an Aggie win afterwards and even the Texans somehow managed to get a W!

Trying to see if there’s 10-12 anglers that would like to take part and book a 3 day trip down to the chandelier islands and fish off one of these mother ships. I know a few of us discussed this at the feeding frenzy this past Saturday.

Great Day in POC with the GodFather aka Scott Null & Mike jones on his Sabine skiff first time experiencing that which I totally recommend trying only problem was the tide was to high they were mainly hiding in the mangroves & tall grass couldn’t get to them did see two school wasn’t able to get any but Mike sure did I was able to get one rat red on my Sarge TheBoss rod with saltyhundo bates reel with 6th sense wake bait live croaker model 🎣🤙🏼

To follow up on Kenneth’s report from this morning. I caught at least 10 redfish and 6 trout all on this wake bait from 6th Sense Lures. I don’t hear a lot about throwing wake baits. It worked perfectly this morning as it rides right below the surface and numerous fish came as I paused the retrieve.

Want to give a big shout out to Capt Lolo out of Port O’Conner and Mike Butler at Angler’s Anonymous. I was lucky enough to win a trip from that raffle that supported the Central Texas Relief Fund. Had a great morning wading with my dad, the reds were absolutely destroying topwaters up shallow on the shoreline, we caught easily over 20 reds all together. Work has been whooping my ass so it came at a perfect time! Big thanks again to those guys for the generosity.
