Here's a question for the group. Is anybody still using mono? I used to only throw braid but I switched to using more mono a couple years ago, especially for this time of year when I may be working my soft plastics a little more aggressively. I can work it more while keeping the bait down in the strike zone, whereas braid pulls it too much, where in theory I cant work the bait as much while keeping it in the part of the water column that I want to fish. I also like the way you can work a topwater with mono versus braid for sure.

I'm curious to get some feedback from the group on this, I'm considering switching back to braid because I think I'm not hooking up with quite as many fish with mono, and if nobody is using mono anymore than there must be a reason why, and I might think about going back to 20 lb power pro. Any advice is appreciated!
