Happy Father’s Day to all the AnglerU dads out there. Like many of you, I learned how to fish from my dad, who learned from his dad. The older I get, the more grateful I am for all the great memories on the water. Thanks for everything, dad!

Night Vision:  I love to fish at night, but like most people my age I can not see a night anymore.  My last attempt was a epic failure ending with a boat tow from Boat US. Has anyone used night vision to run there boat at night.  Or, used night vision for anything else that can recommend  a quality manufacturer.  I have found plenty of them online but it looks like you can spend as little or as much as you want on a pair.  Any info is appreciated.  FISHING IS LIFE!

Going to be hitting the corpus area late June early July. What are some areas to fish to get on some reds and trouts? I will be on my Tunnel hull boat so I can get in some shallow waters if needed.

Question for the group. If you wanted to primarily fish for redfish and you had to choose between East Matagorda or POC, where would you choose?

Trolling Motor Advice - 36V Lithium Batteries

Need some advice to either fork out the money for the more expensive batteries or go with a cheaper one.

Prices and warranties certainly range all over the place, so is it a ‘get what you pay for’ scenario or is there a clear winner, one way or the other?

Trolling motor in question would be the MinnKota Instinct Quest on a 22ft Illusion.

Thanks in advance

One of the things I’ve learned from AnglerU that has helped me a lot is that there really is no such thing as too shallow for reds. Thought my kayak might get stuck but was able to sneak into a back lake and found several reds swimming with their backs out of the water. Ended up with 8 reds and 2 trout for the day, all caught on red/white spook jr’s and white gulp swimming mullets. All fish were caught either within 2 feet of the shoreline, or in super skinny water.
