Big thanks to Laguna rods and Anglers Anonymous for the sweet new setup. Gonna have to do a proper photoshoot of this thing in action soon. Had to get that AU metallic red!

If you are wanting to see some of the images of Overwatch Maps compared to the Texas One chip. I have attached some photos of the diversion cut in Matagorda and cow trap lake.

I have one tip that may help for storage of your soft plastics. A spinner bait box without the inserts. You can put them in order. I got a couple shrimp tails then paddle tails then straight tails.

Fishing Thermoclines During Summer

If you've been wading recently, you've likely encountered colder pockets of water near the bottom. This transition layer between the warm surface water and cool, dense water below is called a thermocline. For example, if the surface water temperatures are 88 degrees, the layer below can be two to three degrees cooler.

During the hottest parts of the day, fish gather along ledges and drop-offs to escape the heat, holding close to the bottom where it’s cooler. Here, they conserve energy and won't chase down their prey aggressively unless it’s within close range. Knowing this, slowly working soft plastics on the bottom will produce strikes from trout, redfish, and flounder.

Headed to east bay next week, I've never fished it before so I was hoping to get some insight on that area

Good day everyone! I am looking for a recommendation for an offshore fishing trip down south. Port Aransas area or further down. Open to an overnight trip. Mainly want to go do some deep drops then snapper and whatever else is around. This would be a private trip for 6, not a party boat. If they have a place to spend the night, that would be a plus!

Thanks for any recommendations. My cell is 832.818.0597 if you'd like to call or text.

Trailer repair recommendation. If anyone in the Alvin area ever needs trailer repair/service done, Hallows Trailer Repair is the place to go. I was in a bind yesterday with our cargo trailer we use for KWigglers, and Mark, the owner, stayed late and got it fixed better than new. He works on a lot of boat trailers, but he works on all kinds of trailers in general. I’ll be taking all of my trailers to him now. Great guy who does great work.

Matagorda and POC folks!

Went out this weekend out of Matagorda. They had the Oilman Tournament and harbor was a Cluster to be polite. Went to west bay. Water was extremely dirty from all the run off from the Colorado. Found clean water on the POC side of Greens. Bait everywhere. Stingrays, dolphins, and sharks as well. Tried out a ton of different lures/brands/ and colors. Used the K Wigglers Barts Sand Ninja. Got multiple hits on it.
