Baffin (Laureles Shorline). Did good on reds. Lots of small trout. Overall great day! Oh the fish pics? Yeah, we suck at taking pics in the water.

Last one for the day. This will not create a true dump. May level it out some and turn the fishing on, but not the ripper we are waiting on. Forecast is changing a lot, day to day, but really killing a lot of the excitement built up earlier in the week.

Right on time with my previous post, coastal flood warnings. I’m going out on a limb to say this WONT be over 9 am Monday. It will continue until Tuesday when the wind changes direction to the N and slowly trickles it back down until Wednesday when it pushes it back.

Paired with the big moon tide swings, this SE wind for a couple days on the middle and upper coast should bring the tide wayyy back up. Not good news for early week fishing plans. However, this big flood tide could effect the dump, later in the week, ASSUMING we get that NW for more than an afternoon. Flooding the grass then ripping it back out could increase the amount of bait it brings with it, therefore, intensifying the fish’s response post dump, again assuming. Also, this will give the bay more water to work with when the dump happens, so could effect the water levels when the drop bottoms out. The frontal forecast has changed from a couple days worth of N and NW to a couple hours worth of NW, now. Expecting less than a dump at the moment, now. We are keeping our eyes on it, but as usual, weathermen are throwing darts.

21 inch trout off the dock under lights. The glow of the Mansfield Margarita paddle tail did it job!

Working topwaters with short, rapid twitches along with random pauses have been key to getting the big girls to eat!
