Got to fish Deans area yesterday. For our first time I’d say it was a successful day. Lots of soild trout with a few going 4 pounds. Endless grass and potholes to fish. It’s a lot different than Matagorda but it’s similar fishing style. I will definitely get down here more often. Heavy fog pushed us off the water late in the evening. Definitely put what we learned from the podcast and AU into action and it paid off!!

Question about running redfish bay in Port A. I know you cannot uproot the grass so how do you jump up on plane while in a grassy area? Do you just drift or troll to a deeper spot? Headed for a few days next months for the first time and don’t want to make any mistakes. Any tips for navigating that area are welcome. Thanks

I would love to see some fly fishing content. Whether that’s general tips or even fly tying
