If you’re tying not to break the bank but still have a really nice cooler look at the Magellan coolers. Have had 2 of them on the boat for a while now and have been extremely impressed. The lids have latches on both sides and can be completely removed.

One box like that on a sling, my bogas, and my rod. And if it wasn’t nice having a place to put my rod while dealing with the fish I wouldn’t even carry the box/ sling.
