How far from the mouth of the river do you travel up river before you start fishing?

Man this brought back a ton of memories fishing with my two sons catching a ridiculous amount of trout in East Matagorda.

They were given out to new members that signed up at the bite me podcast feeding frenzy.

We are heading back out on Tuesday and hope to catch a few. Either going to fish East Matty or powderhorn lake.

What is the penalty for bringing in a fish that is over? How hard is it to sleep the night before the tournament?
