I have one tip that may help for storage of your soft plastics. A spinner bait box without the inserts. You can put them in order. I got a couple shrimp tails then paddle tails then straight tails.

Big thanks to Laguna rods and Anglers Anonymous for the sweet new setup. Gonna have to do a proper photoshoot of this thing in action soon. Had to get that AU metallic red!
Looking for recommendations for an aluminum welder in the Rockport Area. I need some work done on my leaning post.
Good day everyone! I am looking for a recommendation for an offshore fishing trip down south. Port Aransas area or further down. Open to an overnight trip. Mainly want to go do some deep drops then snapper and whatever else is around. This would be a private trip for 6, not a party boat. If they have a place to spend the night, that would be a plus!
Thanks for any recommendations. My cell is 832.818.0597 if you'd like to call or text.
Need some advise. I have located some redfish sitting on an oyster bed in 2' of water or less. I am throwing a cork with Gulp. I either catch a fish or get hung up half the time. I am trying to keep my cork and not litter the area with them. Plus it gets a little spendy at $8 a pop. I tried using a shorter leader, about a 12", but I could not get bit. However, my usual longer leader did. I was thinking of using a lighter leader so I can break it off easier and keep my cork. Maybe 10-15 lbs. To light? I am using 20-25 pound Seagar now, just depends on what I grab. Any ideas on how to solve this problem. Topwater? Wake bait? Cheaper cork? Please let me know what ideas you have. Thank you in advance. Â
Headed to east bay next week, I've never fished it before so I was hoping to get some insight on that area
James Phillips, can you text me please?

Matagorda and POC folks!
Went out this weekend out of Matagorda. They had the Oilman Tournament and harbor was a Cluster to be polite. Went to west bay. Water was extremely dirty from all the run off from the Colorado. Found clean water on the POC side of Greens. Bait everywhere. Stingrays, dolphins, and sharks as well. Tried out a ton of different lures/brands/ and colors. Used the K Wigglers Barts Sand Ninja. Got multiple hits on it.
Low Tides of Summer
I had a great question from member Sfulp about why tides are lower in the summer even with a full moon. I’ll do my best to explain this and hope you can learn something.Â
First, is the earths position from the sun, which in summer is farther away. With less gravitational pull it results in weak tidal ranges. They’re weaker during the last quarter moon after the full moon and first quarter moon after a new moon.Â
Second, we’ve had strong southeast winds the past two weeks. Since tides are wind driven in the Upper Laguna. Water is blown into Baffin or the west side of the ULM and the water drops on the east side. If they’re straight south, water is blown north into Corpus Christi Bay.Â
Third, is high pressure settling over the coast like this weekend. The increased pressure squeezes down on the atmosphere, which further pushes water out of the bays. Also, you’ll notice there’s hardly any clouds and temperatures soar. During low pressure, it’s the opposite as the atmosphere lifts up. Combined with southeast winds, water is allowed to move back into the bay. Cloud cover, chances of rain, and though it’s still hot, temperatures can be cooler by 2 or 3 degrees.
I’ve got Mule slough to Fish pond figured out but from Fish pond to lighthouse what cut am I needing to take ? I have a super shallow running boat and know to go on a positive tied just want to run it without doing any damage to the bottom. Thanks fellas.
