Is it worth Tying a FG knot or just use a surgeons knot? Also when changing lures do you just switch the lure or both the jig and lure and retie

Just wanted to post that tide changes have been pretty strong this week in Matagorda for anyone wondering
I am currently running a Lowrance unit with the Texas One Map, and I am curious if there is a better map I should be aware of. Specifically I would like something that shows the reefs in Bastrop bay near San Luis Pass.
Had a very awesome day fishing with my son Kenneth and Captain Pat Gardner. We were even more lucky when Capt Caleb TV asked if he could join in and bring Jimmy to shoot some video for Angler U. For my son and it was a day for firsts as we both caught our first trout on a Corky Fat boy. We also got to watch and learn from two of the very best anglers on the Texas coast. I’ll share one lesson we learned right off the bat this morning. As we got to our first wading spot you could see a lot of nervous bait and we quickly jumped out of the boat and began to throw topwaters. After 10 minutes of no blowups Pat said to switch to corky fat boys which we did and right away we caught some fish. Kenneth asked Pat why the switch and Pat said with that much nervous bait and no blow ups it was clear the fish wanted something else. Switching quickly like that with all that bait was lesson one of the many we got today.
A special shout out to Angler U for helping to put this trip together.
Hell ya!!!! That came quick!!! I was one of three winners on Tuesday’s Live Stream. Look what arrived right on time for some fishing.
Howdy everyone! I’m headed down to Corpus Christi on Monday for a conference and was hoping to sneak in a little fishing. Anyone know any walk-in wading access points around the area?? Thanks and tight lines!
Redfish have been solid the last few weeks. Big and aggressive!
I know that a lot of people are catch and release. Some are meat haulers and some keep some. With that said, what is your favorite way to cook your catch?
You a red fish on the half shell, trout tacos, or flounder with stuffed crab? What is your favorite recipe to enjoy your catch?
Want to give a HUGE thank you to the Elf’s at Laguna. I think my little guy will love his Christmas present this year!
